This page explains how to remove ContentForge's access to your Facebook and Instagram accounts and how to ask us to delete your data. It goes with section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
1. Remove ContentForge from Facebook
- Log in to Facebook and click your profile picture.
- Go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Open Business Integrations (on some versions of Facebook it is called Apps and Websites).
- Find ContentForge and click Remove, then confirm.
ContentForge can no longer read or post anything on your Facebook Pages or the Instagram accounts linked to them.
2. Disconnect Facebook in ContentForge
If you use ContentForge, sign in and disconnect Facebook from your connection settings. The connection is deleted straight away: your Facebook and Instagram access tokens, and the ids, names and pictures of your Pages and Instagram accounts.
3. Ask us to delete your data
Email support@the-contentforge.com with the subject "Data deletion request". Send it from the email address on your account if you have one, and tell us your name and the Facebook Pages or Instagram accounts it is about.
We will reply to confirm your request, delete your data as described below, and let you know when it is done, always within 30 days.
4. What gets deleted
When you disconnect, remove ContentForge from Facebook, or ask us to delete your data, we delete immediately:
- Your Facebook and Instagram access tokens.
- Your Facebook name and user id from Facebook Login.
- The ids, names and pictures of your Facebook Pages and Instagram business accounts.
- The Page and Instagram ids saved on your posts.
The text, images and videos of the posts you wrote in ContentForge stay in your account, because they are your agency's content. Delete them in ContentForge, or close your account, to remove them. Posts already published stay on Facebook or Instagram until you remove them there. Copies in our database backups roll off within 35 days.
5. Closing your ContentForge account
Closing your ContentForge account (Settings → Profile → Close agency, or by emailing us from the owner's email address) deletes all of your data, including Facebook and Instagram data, as described in our Privacy Policy. There are 7 days to change your mind, deletion is finished within 30 days of the request, and backups roll off within 35 days after that.
